IVF
In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is an assisted reproductive technique where an egg and sperm are combined outside the body in a lab. The fertilized embryo is then transferred into the uterus to establish pregnancy. IVF is used to treat infertility due to blocked fallopian tubes, male infertility, ovulation issues, or unexplained causes. It offers hope to couples who have not succeeded with other fertility treatments and can also be used with donor eggs or sperm.
Conventional IVF – Eggs and sperm are combined in a lab dish for natural fertilization. Suitable for couples with normal sperm function.
ICSI IVF – A single sperm is injected into the egg to aid fertilization. Used when sperm quality or quantity is a concern.
IVF is advised after fertility tests such as hormone evaluation, semen analysis, ultrasound scans, and imaging confirm challenges in natural conception. The process is customized based on each couple's unique fertility profile.
