Hair Transplant
Hair transplant is a cosmetic surgical procedure where hair follicles are moved from one part of the body (donor site) to bald or thinning areas (recipient site). It is most commonly used to treat male pattern baldness but is also effective for hair loss due to injuries, burns, or other conditions. The procedure can significantly improve appearance and confidence, and results are typically permanent and natural-looking.
FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) – A strip of scalp is removed and dissected into grafts for transplantation.
FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) – Individual hair follicles are extracted and transplanted, leaving minimal scarring.
Hair transplant is advised after dermatological consultation and trichoscopic evaluation, which assess the scalp, hair density, and reasons for hair loss. Blood tests and hormonal profiles are also done to rule out any underlying conditions before surgery.
